What does your favourite drink say about you

It’s no secret that humans are creatures of habit, it’s why we all fall into routine so easily. This isn’t a bad thing, especially when it comes to your grooming routine, which allows you to get results from repeating your proven process.

When it comes to drinking though, we fall into the routine of ordering ‘our usual’ which can be anything that you have tried, tested and decided to stick to. But what does your ‘go to’ drink say about you?

What are we talking about? We are talking about the perception of you by others across the bar. That girl who you keep catching the eye of, or that senior work colleague who has asked if you would like a drink while they are up – both are judging you based on what you order.

Let’s look at it per style of drink and then consider brands.

Beer; the usual go to for any guy when they are starting their night or just having a relaxing few. Beer itself lets those around you know that you’re keen to relax, and you want a familiar flavour to help you get there.

More importantly though is the brand of beer. The brand speaks volumes:

  • Corona: Likes to keep it light but isn’t overly adventurous.
  • Peroni: Classy and indulgent, enjoys the finer things in life.
  • White Rabbit: Sophisticated and well off, doesn’t think about money and would rather enjoy himself then consider his wallet.

Not much of a beer drinker? Perhaps you’re more of a spirits man.

The world of spirits is full of choice, taste and indulgence. Your ‘go to’ spirit is like a tailored suit, it’s a specific style to give off a specific vibe.

  • Vodka, lime & soda: A bit boring, in for the long hall session and just wants to kick on – never really grew up after uni.
  • Old fashioned: Knows what he likes, more than happy to go top shelf to have a good night. Successful, sophisticated and outgoing.
  • Scotch on the rocks / neat: A real man, with a real taste for indulgence. Shows confidence, class and even a touch of intimidation. This is alpha male territory, but if you’re going to do it, do it properly. No Johnny Walker Red – this area is reserved for our Blue Label sippers.
