You or Someone Like You is the collaboration between noted perfumery author Chandler Burr and the perfume house of Etat Libre D’Orange. Its name is also the title of Chandler Burr’s new novel, about a transplanted Englishwoman married to a Hollywood producer, and her life high up in the hills of La-La Land. It’s a scent created for a fictitious person, and for anyone with a secret side. The perfume is freshness itself created from molecules one finds in mint, shiso, violets and citruses but not from essences corresponding to any particular plant.

Bought this for myself. First spray and i was hit with a layered scent like toothpaste mixed with water and freshly scrunched mint from the garden. It was herbacious and jarring but if you like real mint this is the winner as it does not smell chemical, but rather fresh. I have since worn this 5 times and still learning to embrace the opening notes which last about 15 minutes but do not mind how it dries down to a greener, more complex version of MOR Marshmallow. Longevity not there – maybe 3 to 4 hours. Suits warmer weather as it reacts with warmer skin. As for gentSac – amazing service; cannot fault. Kept me updated with shipping.
