Widely regarded as the forefather of modern cricket, W.G. Grace (also known as “The Doctor”) is equally famous for his impressive imperial beard, which was more reminiscent of Karl Marx than Honest Abe. As a skilled cricketer, W.G. was known for his use of a unique mixture of linseed oil, liquorice, and tobacco juice to polish and shine the cricket ball. Our beard balm, named after “The Doctor,” pays homage to his cricketing legacy and his iconic beard, albeit with a more pleasant aroma. We hope to honour the great game of cricket and its bearded hero with this product.
